John has been enjoying his time in New York so far. He's at the UN this week meeting with delegates from the countries of Cameroon, Cote D’Ivoire, Nigeria, Burkina Faso, Rwanda, and Gabon. He bought them all chocolate bars from Godiva and said they were a big hit. He spends most of his day in meetings and not very much time with the delegates. I'm sure he wishes it was the other way around. He had a phone interview with a family law firm in Fort Meyers today for a summer internship and he thought it went well, with the exception that his cell phone kept breaking up.
We have been having what I call a miracle week so far. It could not be going any better. The weather, although freezing (actually with the wind chill it was -11) has been sunny, no snow:) Miles has been an angel!!! He hasn't had a nap yet this week so late afternoons are hard for both of us, but, because he's so tired, he's been going to bed by 7:00 pm instead of 9:00 or 10:00. I'm not a morning person so his waking up at 6:45am is a little rough, but I think It will get easier. Something fun and new this week has been the interaction between Eli and Miles. For the past three days Eli has been cracking up watching Miles do silly things. Today they were both laughing together in the crib. Miles is such a good big brother.
Thank you, Thank you to everyone who has said a prayer in my behalf that things would go well at home while John is away. It has definitely been a different week so far than what I was expecting. Much, much better in fact. Thank you for all the love and support.
That's all for now. John gets home late Saturday night so I'm sure we'll have an update with pics shortly after.

I'm glad things are going better than expected! My stomach always knots up when I know Will is going to be gone. It's not fun or easy on any momma.
PS. I don't know how you're surviving that bitter cold!
Thanks for the update! I'm so happy to hear about the kids! I just finished some 'Wendy cookies' for a condo showing tomorrow morning (cookies at 9am? Can't hurt right?)
