These pictures were taken at Ortega Park, the park I grew up going to. It's about 1/2 mile from my parents house.
Miles liked being in the swing, but......
...he especially loved the climbing wall!!! ("I wonder how fast I can get up this wall before mom and dad try to take me down")
We took so many pics on this vacation that we're going to post a little every day or so. Stay tuned to see pics from the giants game and the beach........

Dad is very sad! His family is gone to visit Grandma and Grandpa Hurst. Sunday is not the same with them being gone. John REALLY loves Miles and Wendy and he looks forward to being together with them soon. He felt that it was inportan to keep the website up to date, so he did his best and posted this.

This week was really busy with baby showers, primary meetings, hair appts, Dr. appts etc... Miles has been really stuffy this week so I took him to the Doctor to get him checked out before we fly to California. His ears looked clear, the doctor said, and his runny nose is probably due to his teething. Miles is getting four upper teeth all at the same time. It's been a week of a lot of crying and no sleeping. Aunt Steph can verify this, she spent a couple of days with us and really helped me out. Thanks Auntie Steph!!!
On Thursday we went to visit our friends Wes, Vanessa and Trenton (their little boy). They live out in Daybreak. We took Miles to the kiddie pool and he had a good time. It starts out really shallow and only goes to maybe a foot and a half deep. I sat Miles down in the shallow end (maybe a couple inches) and he took off crawling toward the deep end where the bigger kids were playing. He has no fear and makes mom really nervous some times. Speaking of no fear, Miles climbed all the stairs this morning. He usually only climbs the first two, but today he climbed those and just kept going. He stopped on stair 5 or 6 for a quick poop, and then trekked on (don't worry grandma, mom was behind him the whole time)
Saturday was the Watts family reunion. We had a fun time playing catch up with some of our cousins. There were a couple other babies there right around Miles age and they enjoyed interacting with one another. Next summer we're going to plan a family reunion down in Moab where Annie lives. That should be really fun.
Also on Saturday we had a game night/going away party for Alan. He's off to graduate school in a couple weeks and it will probably be next summer when we can all get together again for another game night (minus Wes because he'll be in Africa, but add Cory because he'll be back from Mexico)
This coming Saturday Miles and I are flying to California to spend time with Grammy and Papa Hurst. John is flying out next Tuesday, so we won't have an update next week, but we'll have a lot of things to post in two weeks. See you then.
